I'll be away from the internets for a few days, so even though I haven't really been posting a lot even the automated content generation stuff that goes on will stop. Wow, that sentence really sucks and I don't really have the brain capacity to re-work it right now.
Don't worry, dear reader, you'll get through the dry spell somehow.
I will return with silks and spices from far away lands and tales of giants and monsters and yes, dragons. Oh, and probably a ton of photos that will take me a month to process.
Please do not fill up the tubes while I'm gone. The internets aren't big trucks, ya know...
So our first Hawaiian vacation is now history. The weather was great, albeit a tad windy. I got some great photos. I picked up for print shirts and Kat got some sarongs. Most of the time we spent on the beach or in the rental car going to yet another fabulous photo-op.
I broke down and paid $7 for a day of Internet access. At least I think I'm only on the hook for one day. I should really make sure I'm not still getting charged.
We were on the island of Kauai, which is one of the oldest islands in the chain. It was pretty low key, even in the bigger cities. Which was nice, because even the low key tourism is still pretty touristy. The Blue Book that Greg insisted we buy was the best resource we had. If you go, I also recommend it.

He's a bear that doesn't play by the rules...

He's got posable arms...

And killer tats.
Very cool stuff from Karim and Rebecca and Karim's new favorite store, Kid Robot.
Less than 5 shopping days left.
I got a really odd e-mail the other day. It was from a person in Iraq, with the US Army. Obviously it was meant to go to family members and was just a quick update, "I'm fine, it's hot, etc." Luckily I was able to track down the intended recipient and get them the email.
I have a new found appreciation for the term "support our troops." I still feel that the best way to support our troops is to not set them up for snipers or car combers in a botched nation building mission.
