- Firefox 48%
- IE 36%
- Safari 12%
Firefox has 43% already on 2.x. IE has 68% still on 6.x. Safari has 91% on the latest build.
Here are, in order of who has announced they are actually running, the folks I'm pulling for in the Democratic primary.
Here are others I wouldn't mind, in no particular order.
- Al Gore
- Wes Clark
Clinton is not on the list because I'm honestly not a big fan of her politics. Would I take her over any GOPer that would get their nomination? Yes. Obama is not on the list because I think he might still be a little green for the job. Edwards was green, but now he has been through a crushing campaign and knows what's up. Also, this country still has it's cranium too far up it's nether regions to deal with a woman or African American as president.
Gore is intelligent, thoughtful, and has a lifetime of experience. He's been cast away by the Wise Old Men of Washington, got over it, and got back into the game. Yes, it's only on climate change right now, but he could expand that quite easily overnight. He could laughing deal with all the bullshit that people say about him now (he's a liar, he invented the internets, he's a spy for China, etc.). The years after getting ganked by SCOTUS really gave him time to re-center and refocus. Seeing him give his talk on climate change really convinced me that he is who he always said he was. There is a slim, but non-zero, chance that getting back into the race for preznit could cause a relapse to the old, stiff Al Gore that got worried when people talked about the color of his clothes.
I like Clark because he has a very real no nonsense way of talking. It's what Bush wishes he had. Clark speaks clearly and with authority, which I'm sure comes from his many years of military service. He lead NATO forces and has a good understanding of American foreign policy and military reach. While watching the debates he also seemed to learn about domestic affairs very quickly. Even after the election his podcasts focused on a wide array of foreign and domestic issues, especially after Katrina hit.
Anyway, that's where I'm leaning and why.

I don't know what is wrong with Adobe, but their Reader install boggles the mind. The process makes no sense. You download a program which downloads a program which downloads an installer. Has Adobe noticed that most people throw up a DMG with a drag and drop install. Hell, some even put a symlink to the Applications folder in the image to save you a step.
I understand that it's a free product and that I'm not forced to install it. But Adobe is using Reader to convince me to buy Acrobat. If Acrobat is anything like dealing with Reader, well, I'll pass.

logging, it's what we do
Don't worry America, the Department of Homeland Security only breaks the law to keep you "safe."
The Homeland Security Department admitted Friday it violated the Privacy Act two years ago by obtaining more commercial data about U.S. airline passengers than it had announced it would.
Seventeen months ago, the Government Accountability Office, Congress' auditing arm, reached the same conclusion: The department's Transportation Security Administration "did not fully disclose to the public its use of personal information in its fall 2004 privacy notices as required by the Privacy Act."
Even so, in a report Friday on the testing of TSA's Secure Flight domestic air passenger screening program, the Homeland Security department's privacy office acknowledged TSA didn't comply with the law. But the privacy office still couldn't bring itself to use the word "violate."
I would say I was shocked, but I'm not. DHS lives in the fantasy world of 24 and Alias. If they were serious about being secure and not looking secure, they would listen to Bruce.

lou dobbs, puppet of fox news? I mock, you decide.
I know that I'll be see as a "grinch" for this...but, the stupid...it burns!
I was out running errands with the mom today and she let me know that the War on Christmas is being fought right here in Chico. That's right, Dan Gamel's RV Center wanted to let you know, through the miracle of the television commercial, that they weren't afraid to say...wait for it...waaaaaiiiiiit foooooor iiiiiiit, "Merry Christmas." They also have no problem mentioning the G-word. You know, God!
Wow. Just...wow.
Thanks, Dan! To know that you are holding the line in this battle really warms my cold, black heart. What would really rock is if you went on the offensive, because the best defense is a good offense. I want your next commercial to tell people who don't celebrate Christmas that they can screw off because you don't even want their money. Yes Dan, it would be a Christmas coup! Strike fear into the hearts of pagans and blasphemers and atheists and the Jews! Let them see what freedom really is. Let all of Chico know that the only dollars you accept are the ones earned by people who have accepted Jesus Christ as their savior and the rest can just go buy their RVs from Satan.
Only you can save Christmas in Chico, Dan. Don't let Jesus down, Dan.
