2001 Cabernet Sauvingon from California. It has a nice taste, but it had almost a musty bouqet. Good, but odd...

It's been far too long...

I hate it. Yes, it's only because I'm old, cynical, and have that "I've seen this crap way too many times to give a rat's ass" mentality. I guess that's why I'm not a social anthropologist.

Update: I tried to explain what I was talking about in a comment, but it probably didn't make any sense. In any community, online ones seem particularly vulnerable there is a cycle of growth, death, and sometimes re-birth. Newsgroups, mailing lists, that old dial-up bbs you used to login to...they all were small and nice at one point. Then they got big. Then an annoying person came in. They didn't know they were annoying, or maybe they did and just didn't give a damn. Either way, everyone else knew and it turned something you liked to something that bugged you.

It's really hard to explain this without sounding like a jaded, cynical bastard.

Suckitude

Sick again. This whole "cold" thing really blows. I managed to get some pictures today. Warning! They are quite boring.

Fly Low, Avoid the Radar Seriously, throw the damn ball... Surveying the Yard It's Not Art Today in the Back Yard

Fall 2005 registration starts tomorrow at 8 am. A majority of people using it will think that "the portal" really sucks because of how registration is done. Little do they know that the portal just facilitates their access to the registration system. The back-end system is made by PeopleSoft Oracle and it is exactly the kind of web interface you would expect from people who have no clue how to make a web application.

But for every itch, there is a scratch. And by "itch" I mean horrible web interface and by scratch I mean a wonderful workaround built by a CSU, Chico student. Behold the Wildcat Scheduler!

It's also Scott's last week as Web Services Coordinator Minion. He's off to Europe. Not sure if he's going to the old or new one. Life will be a lot tougher. Oh, I'll still have to get my own coffee...but all the minion duties will be back on my plate again. God help all of you, because I'm stocking up on wine.

2002 Cabernet Sauvignon. Good, but...I got it for $5.99, and it's normally $12. It's not $12 good...

Photos You Should See

One again "The Kucharo" was out taking awesome pictures over the weekend. You should take a moment to check them out.

I got six photos in the first Squared Circle Collaborative Poster. Yay. It looks like I got two photos in the second one.

To celebrate, here are some favorites, which oddly enough includes one of my own. It's all about me, me, me today!
