Dig My Own Hole
Today was horrible. Too bad it's only 9am.
The depths of my despair are almost infinite right now. The only thing I have to hold on to is that people before me in every era have probably felt exactly the same way. Yet life goes on.
We let the libraries burn.
The President seems to be flaunting his power at home and around the world. A true cowboy from Texas. What little respect the rest of the world had for us has since turned to fear and loathing. The economy is propped up on spit and Duct Tape®. Tax cuts are all the people care about and deficits larger than anything we have ever seen loom for the foreseeable future.
We let the libraries burn.
Despite what the administration says, we are 0-2 on wars. Sure we won the battles. There was never any doubt that our superior military would wipe the floors with the Taliban and what was left of the feared Iraqi army. But battles are only part of war. As a whole, we are failing. This failure will cost us dearly for many years to come. History will eventually cut through the administrations Iraq facade. Our nation building efforts in Iraq will fail, just as they have in Afghanistan.
We let the libraries burn.
To those that say by criticizing American efforts that I'm hoping for an American failure should pull their heads out of their asses and just think about it for just a second. That's all I'm asking here. Think for Christ's sake!
We let the libraries burn.
We are a country that has settled into fear. It's our new rut. What will break us out of it?
We protected the oil fields.

man, we have got to get rid of these lying, cheating assholes that are "running" our country.
if you ever just need to bitch, you know where to find me.
