Nader as VP? Nope...

|

The only problem with Nader as VP is that if he is as principled as he says he is, he would turn it down. If he really believes that there isn't a nickel of difference between Bush and Kerry why would he accept a VP position? How would that help destroy the power monopoly of the two major parties which he love to rail against? If he accepted a VP nod, would it destroy his "street cred" and thus render him powerless to affect change from the inside?

I'm still left wondering how far to the left do you have to be to see Kerry and Bush and the same political entity? It doesn't make any sense to me. It didn't make any sense when he leveled the same accusation at Gore. If Gore had been elected would we have John Ashcroft as AG? No. Would we have Albert Gonzales in the White House writing memos about how silly and quaint the Geneva Conventions are? No. Do we have Rice, Rummy, Wolfowitz, Perle or Feith screwing things up with the neocon vision thing? No.

Whatever. Nader, do what you want. Run. Drop out. Dance around naked. It's not my place to ask him not to run, but I'm casting my vote to ensure Bush is fired.
