George Bush: Money Machine
The Washington Post has a couple of very detailed looks at Bush and his war chest. Where does it come from? What do people get for giving or gathering large sums of money?
Since 1998, Bush has raised a record $296.3 million in campaign funds, giving him an overwhelming advantage in running against Vice President Al Gore and now Sen. John F. Kerry (D-Mass.). At least a third of the total -- many sources believe more than half -- was raised by 631 people. (emphasis mine)
They also have a nice interactive flash piece which illustrates the spheres of influence. You can also get a PDF version, although it doesn't have all the person data on each member that the flash piece does.
