Day 1

|

After we got cleaned up, we knew we had to get used to localtime as quick as we could. So out we headed to find food, and see what was close to our hotel. Our hotel was really close to The Rocks area, which is really nice for tourists. It puts you really close to lots of little shops, pubs, and photo-ops.

We sought out food first. We ate at a nice little pub and I learned my first slang lesson. When ordering drinks, "medium" is also known as "tiny" in Australia. Well, at least at this pub it was.

Then we walked around Sydney Harbour a bit. We saw the Opera House and the Harbour Bridge, snapped a few photos and then started to walk back. By that time it was about 2pm and we just couldn't stay up anymore. So we took a short nap until about 5:30 when we forced ourselves to forge out for dinner. We took the easy way out and ate in the hotel restraunt. Our first day was over at that point. I'm surprised we made it as long as we did.
