President Bush: Mo' money!
Bush: king of political cash flow
"Bush's fund raising record will be hard to break," says Norman Ornstein, resident fellow at the American Enterprise Institute here. "The most astonishing thing is, here we've brought the entire world to a halt to deal with Iraq, plus terrorism, the Middle East, and North Korea — and the president is taking 12 days out of Washington to campaign. No one has called him to account."
That's right ladies and gentlemen. President Bush broke President Clinton's fund raising record. He did this without any hit to his popularity. I'm sure even if you told people how much money, they wouldn't really care. President Bush is a good man. It's only when bad men raise money that would should be concerned.
Frankly, I don't have a problem with him breaking the record or being good great at raising money. I do have a problem with people not seeing it as hypocritical though.
Pat, surely you're joking...right? He's a politician. By definition he's hypocritical.
Nope. Screw that. He doesn't get to play that card because said he was going to restore honesty and integrity to the office of the President. By attacking Clinton/Gore for being money grubbing bastards, he put himself in this situation. Of course, it doesn't matter to most folks. But if President Bush wants to be held to higher standards, I won't shy away from the task.
Mr. President, shape up, or ship out.

Won't it be a hoot if the recipients of his funraising loose anyhow? I've got my paws crossed.
