Music preview: Ladytron
On "Light & Magic," U.K.-based Ladytron deliver '80s electro designed as much for nightclubs as fashion shows. Listen in. [Salon]

"Josh" has been mubling about Ladytron recently as well. I'm really falling behind on new music these days. I still haven't found any Aslan that "kat2" told me to listen to months ago.

oo oo - new music! one of my favorite topics! i recommend you check out interpol, division of lauralee, and black rebel motorcycle club. those are my current new faves. if you want, pop over to my index page. i've got three mp3s you can download on the left-hand sidebar. enjoy!

Ladytron's latest album is quite good, but I prefer their earlier album, 604, for its closer resemblance to my early-nineties MOD file collection. There is something about that lo-fi buzz that comes from cheap electronic music. I love it! Ladytron is growing out of that phase fast, and moving toward more polished, conventional territory. Good for them. I'll always have 604.

I also recommend Hopewell and 2 Lone Swordsmen.
