This didn't start with XP

As many as three times a week, on average, XP users see a little window pop-up at the bottom of their computer screens announcing the availability of another new update for their system.

I know someone who uses 2000 that gets pissed off by this very problem.

It also reminds me of a great rant, by John Gruden, that NFL Films got during a game. It went something like this:

John yelling at some poor 3rd string player: These offensive penalties are killing us! That's four so far! Three on the line and one on the running back...

John gets an evil grin on his face: ...and it's starting to piss me off.

I tried finding the clip on the NFL Films site, but couldn't. Sorry.
